Marcella Clarke

This is my grandmother as a young woman, perhaps when she was a college student or when she was an English teacher. My aunt, Susan Zahner, gave me this photo--it was either just before my grandmother's death or right after her funeral. I'm grateful that I went to visit my grandmother and aunt in December 2005, just a couple months before Marcella passed away in March 2006 at age 102.
